A Wholesome Consecration Joshua 24: 14 – 25

At 16, environmental activist Jada “Molai” Payeng saw hundreds of dead snakes, the victims of a major drought occurring on Majuli Reserve – the world’s largest river island located in the Brahmaputra River in India.

Horns of Manoa, Set Apart but Yet connected to the Rock at the base.

Even at such a young age he knew that someone had to do something. So, in 1979, at 16 – years old, he started planting a tree sapling a day in the barren soil. Now over 40 years later, his forest covers 1,390 acres – approximately the size of 15 football stadiums. Jadav left behind his formal education to give all his attention to the forest. His consecration “I will plant till my last breath” saw it all.

But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
Joshua 24: 15

The kind of exemplary consecration to a worthy cause, which will always make a difference in life and ministry is what we find in the life of Joshua. In this passage, the children of Israel were excited at the time, having defeated all their enemies and settled in the Promise Land. But it was also a tempting time for them, given the possibility of forgetting God and adopting the idolatrous lifestyles of their Canaan Neighbours. Hence, Joshua called them to ponder on God’s faithfulness right from the Patriarchs’ time and confronted them to either choose to serve God exclusively or the gods of the Amorites while declaring his own personal resolve to serve the Lord with his household. Their promise to cleave unto the Lord made Joshua to make Joshua to make a covenant with the people that day.

It is often very easy for people to make promises to serve God, only to renege and return to their old ways due to challenges. Are you fully ways due to challenges. Are you fully persuaded about your decision to follow the Lord to the end? Our commitment to serve God should be for our lifetime, with no strings attached.

A wholesome consecration is one that can stand the test of time. We simply cannot live through our desires concerning the things of the spirit. Our desires are tired to our emotions, what we want, not what God wants.

STeven Curtis Chapman – For the sake of the Call – wholly devoted to live and to die for the sake of the call. (Lyrics)

Summary

Love died alone (consecrated) to give us life’, so that we can die on the ground alone (to sin) John 12: 24, to produce seed or works of righteousness we have to die to self, that the power of God will be revealed in us (as the power of God raised Jesus from the dead). Hence, the scriptures buried in weakness and raised in strength.

1 Corinthians 15: 43

Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength.

The sin we commit is in the flesh, as 1 Corinthians 15: 43, hence, it affects the soul “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.” – Leviticus 17: 11, Hence, the soul that sinneth it dies spiritually (Ezekiel 18: 20). But the Good news is through consecration, due to Romans 8:3-4″ for what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

We repeatedly, live in the spirit like Romans 8 says and die as the song implies. Now some Christians have removed dying, because as Jesus said to the pharisees they are prepared to die in their sins. (Ezekiel 3: 19 – 21, John 8: 24 – 32).

The Rash Vows Judges 11:29 – 40 W.F Kumuyi

And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord: “If you give the Ammonites into my hands, 31 whatever comes out of the door of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites will be the Lord’s, and I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.” - Judges 11: 30, 31

As the wealthy oil tycoon lay on his death bed, his pastor talked of God’s healing power. “Pastor.” he gasped, “if God heals me, I will give the church a million dollars. Miraculously, the man got revived. When we come to God like the rich young ruler in Matthew 19:16-22. we are faced with the things we have to give up for the sake of God. Wealth, we have built by our strength, by theft, by lies as Habakkuk 2: 18 – 20 says:

“Of what value is an idol carved by a craftsman?
Or an image that teaches lies?
For the one who makes it trusts in his own creation;
he makes idols that cannot speak.
19 Woe to him who says to wood, ‘Come to life!’
Or to lifeless stone, ‘Wake up!’
Can it give guidance?
It is covered with gold and silver.
there is no breath in it.”
20 The Lord is in his holy temple.
let all the earth be silent before him.

So, when we raise idols built by our hands i.e. mammoth, that teaches us to lie to gain wealth, we will seek guidance from inmate things because it builds your image (how you see yourself) BECAUSE your trust is in its creation (man, man’s voice and what man creates). When we build idols from ourselves, from things other than Gods hands it will lead or guide us to sin through pride. Hence the scripture, if the lord doesn’t build a house the laborers labor in vain. Psalm 127: 1. Everyman has a builder (God, himself or other things) and he builds based on what builds him. If wealth builds you, you will build others by wealth.

For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. 5 “Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,”[a] bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. 6 But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory. Hebrews 3:4-6

Jesus came and saw the temple made/built with precious stones, he said I will tear down this building and in 3 days I will rebuild it. Do you have buildings you have to tear down. So, the lord will rebuild you. John 2:19, Do precious stones build you, does bloodshed build you, Habakkuk 2: 12, Nehemiah was a rebuilder of walls and Jerusalem. Who build you, is it what builds your city? or is it the cornerstone that was rejected that build you, or will you say like the men in Genesis 11: 4 Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth. What builds you creates your image; would you destroy the image that speaks lies and ask God to rebuild you?

Sometimes, people hide their broken images behind precious stones, some money, some lies and others Jesus.

Back to the story, Miraculously, the man who was revived as some believers when they fall out of sin, was out of the hospital. One day, several month later, he and the pastor chatted on the sidewalk in front of a hardware store. “You know,” the Pastor said, “when you were in the hospital dying, you promised to give the church a million dollars if you got well. We haven’t got it yet. “Did I say that?” the tycoon asked. “I guess that goes to show how sick I really was!”.

In our passage, we are confronted with the story of Jephthah, who vowed that if he defeated the Ammonites, he would sacrifice the first thing that came out of his house to God when he returned home. His daughter, who was his only child, was the one who greeted him on his return. This was highly regrettable to Jephthah, as his only daughter remained unmarried and knew no man till her death.

Today, there are many people who in the heat of emotion or personal challenges have made hasty promises to God, which they later found difficult to fulfill. However, once they get what they want, they forget or pile up excuses why they would not be able to keep their vows.

It is instructive to note that though the vow was difficult for Jephthah, but as a man of integrity, he fulfilled his vow. God is them. We must not make rows we find difficult to keep (Deuteronomy 23: 21; Ecclesiastics 5: 4). Always be thoughtful and patient before you open your mouth before the Lord. Avoid making rash vows based on emotions.

We are only as Good as our words and our words are to be built in God. So, our builder can build us.

Matthew 7:24-29, Psalm 9, Psalm 13-18: So, today I ask as with Galatians 1 who builds you? whose voice do you hear? where do Gods word ring when in doubt, worry and fear creeps in? See more scriptures relating to building here: 15 Bible verses about Builders (knowing-jesus.com)

Unclean things and things God has cleaned Acts 12, Deuteronomy 14.

When God chooses people, from the face of the earth as he treasured possession. you are the children of the Lord, your God. Deuteronomy 7: 6-11.

This tells us that when we are to be clean based on:

  1. separation decided by God: when he said what was clean and what was unclean Deuteronomy 14: 11, hooves that are separate; God decides which animal with hooves are clean. Then he calls what is ceremonially unclean, what you eat that is unclean, Deuteronomy 14:21, but if what you want

Set apart by God makes us clean as we do his will. Romans 14:2 clearly tells us that ‘One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables.’ So, Daniel 1: 8 – 11 “But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way. Now God had caused the official to show favor and compassion to Daniel, 10 but the official told Daniel, “I am afraid of my lord the king, who has assigned your[c] food and drink. Why should he see you looking worse than the other young men your age? The king would then have my head because of you.”

Daniel then said to the guard whom the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, 12 “Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink.” we see here two things from Romans 13 and conclude on one. The conclusion is Romans 14: 14 I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is Unclean. the two things we see is that according to Romans 14: 2 Daniels faith was probably weak because he wanted to eat vegetable. Secondly, the scriptures say in our second observation Romans 14: 20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. So, if one decides something/someone is clean i.e. all things God created are clean but if in eating it, causes someone else to stumble then don’t eat? why because it is not eating in faith. The idea of segregation is like a calf hoof (the split of it) spoken about in Number to denote separation or consecrations for the work of God. Not because it one hoof was bad, and the other was good. It simply meant God had to make something or someone better for his use.

So why then did Daniel believe eating the meat would defile him. The Israelite under the law had many ceremonial laws. In Nehemiah 5: 14-15 “Moreover, from the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when I was appointed to be their governor in the land of Judah, until his thirty-second year—twelve years—neither I nor my brothers ATE the FOOD allotted to the governor. 15 But the earlier governors—those preceding me—placed a heavy burden on the people and took forty shekels[a] of silver from them in addition to food and wine. Their assistants also lorded it over the people. But out of reverence for God I did not act like that.”

The Jews at the time were making an outcry that their leaders were selling their people out as slaves (Nehemiah 5 vs 8), they were asking King Artaxerxes to charge their people more interest and tax leading to the Jews having to sell vineyards, field and homes during famine. Therefore, they had no food this would lead to heavy burden being placed on the poor. so, Nehemiah would not eat the food nor wine because it was from heavy burdens of people where they lorded it over the people. He believed it would defile him and out of reverence for God he did not eat from the king’s food.

In verse 18 of Nehemiah 5, he says this “Each day one ox, six choice sheep and some poultry were prepared for me, and every ten days an abundant supply of wine of all kinds. In spite of all this, I never demanded the food allotted to the governor, because the demands were heavy on these people.” The long and short of the story is he made the Jewish leaders to take an oath not to sell their people.

Romans 14: 23 tells us what is clean and unclean, “But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.” why you may ask because of the way we consider things. Romans 14: 6 tells one person may considers eating certain food (my friend used to say its sexual appetite because its food, but I tell him as long as its according to Gods will) as bad and another doesn’t. (perspectives). Someone may consider one day more sacred than another, and someone will consider every day alike. Also, Romans 14: 13 passing judgments on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister, can change one’s perspective. The devil did this he cast doubt on what God said to Eve, telling her if she ate, she would not die (the example has a negative connotation on what clean and unclean is) but it shows the effect of doubt. Even Judas doubted Jesus. So, there is an unhealthy doubt and healthy doubt but when it causes one to stumble when its healthy (what one eats and drinks Colossians 2: 16) it’s not good as it causes someone to fear and SIN, but when it’s an unhealthy doubt as with Satan asking eve to eat and disobey God, it caused her to stumble. The long and short of the story, God gave Eve an instruction not to eat the apple because it was not good for her, and she would die. It is only God who tells us what is good and what is not Good. This is why he gave the same ceremonial laws to the Israel because he was trying to test their obedience (Deuteronomy 14) for outward cleanliness (see Hebrew 9). However, if you don’t hear God say its unclean then it is not unclean, and we see this in Acts 10: 13 – 17. God said the wild beast is clean.

Excerpts:

God’s word is truth. Grace and truth appeared to all men and that truth is Jesus. the works he brought to us by the cross is GRACE. The voice of truth is the word of God made flesh in the person of Jesus Christ; the truth does not cause us to stumble it preserves us. The word became flesh and dwell amongst men, the truth preserves the work Jesus wrought for us and preserves us but telling people what to align with; what to choose brings condemnation, this is why the scripture says let no man insult you in what you eat or drink. so, when something is aligned with the truth of God’s word that all things is good and not unclean but brings condemnation to that person (stumbling) it is sin on the other person’s end. However, if it’s aligned with God instruction or words, it preserves the person. Doubt not confounded in truth leads to a lie and thus stumbling. This is why Thomas doubt had to be verified by the one who is true, and that truth is Jesus. So, he did not stumble but believed. I guess no one is as clean or should we say as holy as the lord, therefore one decides who is clean or unclean but the lord. For he is the Lord who sanctifies – Jehovah Mekoddishkem.

Honored in Death – Deuteronomy 34:10 – 12, Acts 23

W.F Kumuyi

Deuteronomy 34: 10 Never since has there arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face.

Catherine Millard wrote, ‘The Inner Courtroom of the US Supreme Court shows four marble bas-relief panels beneath the ceiling on each of the four walls. (much like the inner court of the temple called the sanctuary, where our conscience judges or convicts us) Each has particular story to tell. The pane directly above the bench where the Chief Justice and the eight Associate Justices are seated depicts “The Power of Government” and “The Majesty of the Law”. Between these two allegorical figures, the Ten commandments stand out in a position of prominence. ‘Justice, the Guardian of Liberty. ‘Is the title of the East pediment of the building, a stark reminder of the origin and basis for our American legal system is depicted in the central figure of Moses holding the two tables of the Old Testament Law, one in either hand. “A relief plaque of Moses is in the Chamber of the United States House of Representatives. It is one of twenty-three marble plaques placed there during the remodeling in 1949 – 1950.

Moses is honored in death. He is remembered as a prophet ‘whom the Lord knew face to face’. Of Importance also is his gentleness, humility and authenticity. God sent him to do unique signs and wonders in Egypt and before all Israel.

Also, Moses and Elijah were the two Old Testament figures who appeared with Christ on the mount of transfiguration (Matthew 17: 1-6). ‘The song of the Lamb’ (Revelation 15: 3). Notably, a plaque honoring Moses is placed conspicuously in the chambers of the US Supreme Court and the House of Representatives. What more incredible honor could there be? Your life is an open book to others who will read of your impact long after you have departed. You will be remembered for what you have done. The best honor is the one that lasts for all eternity, which God gives to his faithful servants in heaven.

Honour is earned and not imposed!

“Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.” Romans 13:7

To see a typical example of honor imposed we look at the life of Paul in Act 23:

Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said, “My brothers, I have fulfilled my duty to God in all good conscience to this day.”  (it seems today is conscience day as a pointer to guilt or to God, first David was conscience (2 Samuel 24) stricken and Paul fulfilled his in good conscience). Then the high priest, Ananias commanded that Paul be stricken on the mouth. Paul then says to him ” God will strike you, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck!”.

They were violating the law and judging Paul by it! Those who were standing near Paul said, “How dare you insult God’s high priest!” then Paul replied, “Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written: ‘Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.’[a]

Noteworthy, while respect physical laws, we honor spiritual laws and stand on it. Because the spiritual laws supercede the physical laws. Spiritual laws are bounded by love and so set us free in Christ however physical laws keeps us in chained as they are bounded in reasoning, we know but cannot do. The story of the bond woman and the free woman. Galatians 4:23-31, Romans 8 for more information.

Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin, “My brothers, I am a Pharisee, descended from Pharisees. I stand on trial because of the hope of the resurrection of the dead.” When he said this, a dispute broke out between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided. (The Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, and that there are neither angels nor spirits, but the Pharisees believe all these things.)

we see the religious leaders were asking Paul to honor the position of the high priest; however, Paul referenced the scriptures that said one is not to speak evil about their ruler and apologized thereafter. Paul honored the scriptures not the position however they wanted him to do the opposite.

Duty of Church Shepherds – Ephesians 4: 8-14

By W.F Kumuyi

And he gave some Apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some pastors and teachers. Ephesians 4:11

The telegraph, a British newspaper, reported that a flock of over 1,300 sheep “had to be rounded up by police in the Spanish city of Huesca after their shepherd fell asleep. According to city authorities, the police were alerted to the huge flock attempting to negotiate the streets in the center of Huesca at around 4.30 am on a Tuesday when a resident dialed Spain’s 112 emergency number. The police eventually found the herder, who was still peacefully slumbering. Together, the embarrassed shepherd and police officers finally extracted the sheep from the city and returned them to their pastures.

The duties of church shepherds are fully outlined in the scriptures. Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers are responsible for maturing the flock of Christ. They are to guide them, away from the danger of false teachers and their false doctrines, increase the congregation through evangelism and teach them the way of God.

The duties of church leaders require a lot of sacrifice. Shepherds do not give birth to sheep but provide the best pasture and nourishment, encouraging them to give birth, multiply and increase. Jesus’ command is ‘feed my sheep’, not ‘feed on my sheep’, as some ministers do today. The job of pastoring is not for the one with the best credentials but the one with the best character.

A lot must be done to keep the flock of Christ clean, pure and becoming more and more hostile to the flock. Thus, those who are charged with this sacred duty of caring for the flock must wake up from their slumber to serve the Master with utmost zeal and commitment.

Lazy men cannot do the work of shepherds.

So, we go to the story of David to see a shepherd who did not leave his sheep: 2 Samuel 24

God’s anger burned against Israel, we do not know why, so he incited King David to do a census count of the fighting men and enroll more from Dan to Beersheba. So, JOAB decides to ask David, why he is doing this but relents by praying that the lord their God multiply their troops a hundred times over, and that the eyes of the king would see it.

DEDUCTIONS

In 2 Kings 6 tells how God provides an army of angels leading horses and chariots of fire to protect the prophet Elisha and his servant. He opens the servant’s eyes so that he can see the angelic army surrounding them. Judges 7, Gideon only need 300 fighting men who did not lap at the river to fight out of 72,000 to 10,000 men then 300, David did not see the size of Goliath because he saw God in his situation. Sometimes, we depend on what our physical eyes can see to know if we will win a battle but when we see God our situation looks so small in comparison. And David, thought the size of his army would help him win the war. So, he did a census count out of faithlessness and even wanted to enroll more men without knowing the outcome of census. Haven’t we all been faithless, may God help us, that we see him through and in our situation. Back to the story!

David was then conscience stricken after doing wrong and done a foolish thing. He then says, to God, I know I have sinned greatly, take away the guilt of your servant. But then, Gad, the prophet comes to him saying he had to make 3 choices, because of what he had done:

  1. 3 years of famine in their land?
  2. 3 months of fleeing from his enemies while they pursue him?
  3. 3 days of plague in the land. David said in deep distress, let me not fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is great and he may relent on your people from bringing disaster on them, let me not fall on human hands. So, 70,000 men died from Dan to Beersheba and then the Lord relented from the calamity and said to the angel who was working destruction among the people, “It is enough; now stay your hand. The key side to note is:
Then David spoke to the Lord when he saw the angel who was striking the people, and said, “Behold, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly. But these sheep, what have they done? Please let your hand be against me and against my father's house.” verse 17

So, David made an altar at Araunah the Jebusites threshing floor to stop the plagues. The key thing to note is David did not desert his sheep even though they were being punished by God. Why because from 2 Samuel 24: 1- 3 God was clearly angry with Israel, so he incited David, so Israel would be punished. Every shepherd God chooses never deserts the sheep; more like Jesus who says:

11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So, when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13 The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. John 10:11-13

David did not leave his sheep, Jesus did not leave his ship, Moses did not leave his sheep; they all came back for them. All Shepherd including Jesus who is specifically a good shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep did not leave his sheep. David did not lay his life down for his sheep; he just did not desert them. So, he is a shepherd but not a good shepherd like Jesus. No shepherd leaves his sheep, and Jesus is the model example of a good shepherd we can all emulate.

Daniel 8 – The Vision of the Ram and Goats. Luke 3

Lately, I have been having warnings over the last 3 days of something to happen, Ezekiel 17. 18, Revelations 4 and more recently Daniel 8.

I will dwell on DANIEL 8 today; we have a ram and 2 horns signifying the Kings of Media and Persia. Shaggy goat signifying the kings of Greece where the 4 kingdoms would rise.

In Matthew 24 vs 15

15 “So, when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’[a] spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—

what happened to the sanctuary that caused desolation:

The horns from the 4 prominent horns grew towards the beautiful land. so, a little horn took the place of the 4 horns. How did the desolation occur:

First, they take away the daily sacrifice from the LORD. Daniel 8 vs 12

Psalm 51:17 tells us what the sacrifices of the Lord are a broken spirit and a contrite heart, which implies It means that God is pleased with a heart that is tender, pliable to God’s word, and sorrowful for sin3This is instead of all burnt-offering and sacrifice3The verse is interpreted to mean that God accepts a humble and repentant heart as a sacrifice1.

Luke 3: 8 further buttresses it “Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.”

The irony Luke 3 mirrors Ezekiel 18, this daily sacrifice helps us offer worship to the lord, but in Daniel 8: 11 – 12.

1 John 2:18-29 says ” 18 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore, we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us. 20 But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. a] 21 I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ?”

so we are in the last hour, how do we know: Daniel 8 vs 11-12 says:

It set itself up to be as great as the commander of the army of the Lord; it took away the daily sacrifice from the Lord, and his sanctuary was thrown down. 12 Because of rebellion, the Lord’s people[a] and the daily sacrifice were given over to it. It prospered in everything it did, and truth was thrown to the ground.

so, as we see truth thrown to the ground, antichrists prospering in everything it does, the sanctuary (relating to holiness) you know the desolation Daniel talked about is happening. Also, this is called the falling away or apostacy as they call it. I timothy 4:1 describes this falling away as:

Apostasy in the Bible refers to

  • Turning aside from following Jesus.
  • Denying Jesus after having previously confessed Him as Lord.
  • Falling away from faith under persecution.
  • Denying the deity of Jesus.
  • Living a life of open sin that denies the faith.

so, this would take about 2,300 evenings and mornings – then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated. The church in the west is propounded from the time of Lydia to be about 2,000 years ago when Christianity spread from Greece that gave the four horns.

So, as the work is going on to rebuild a temple, because the lord is near, we are to keep in mind that it speaks of the end as Habakkuk says, the vision speaks of the end as violence increases, we read:

23 “In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a fierce-looking king, a master of intrigue, will arise. 24 He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy those who are mighty, the holy people. 25 He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.

As Matthew 24: 11 – 27

Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

So as rebellion that causes desolation rises = surrendering of the sanctuary + trampling underfoot of Gods people, we know it concerns the end. The time of Gods wrath will soon be revealed, I say as it is written:

7 John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Luke 3: 7
19 He said: “I am going to tell you what will happen later in the time of wrath, because the vision concerns the appointed time of the end. Daniel 8: 19

As the wrath of God will soon be revealed, I as Daniel, Fall and Prostrate to the ‘Son of Man’. Desolation is more about the sanctuary of God.

The Vision for the Temple – 1 Chronicles 28.

Some two years ago, I bumped into a medical channel of someone (we would call Mik) who talked with kids, and I was like this is exciting. It would be 8 months later and found another channel talking about Christian stuff and this was disconcerting as I taught, I was because my music suggested to me seemed like it had not been mine for a while before this event (we would call this channel, May) and then the last one but not the least, a true knower of the word but nonetheless joining in the atrocities (we would call this knower Matt).

Each I liked for different reasons it seems, I was physically attracted to the first one, emotionally attracted to the second and mentally attracted to the third. All through finding about these three people and the channels they ran; I discovered they had prior knowledge of my likes and dislikes, and I reasonably knew nothing about them. But I had previously been told as I was reading the scriptures that nations would come to my light before the event happen. As I was discovering that it was a game to get me soaked in? So, I did not pay any attention as I had been warned that the internet was a joke.

Until it became real, with a proposition being sent to me and the funny thing was when I prayed, and God said yes. And I am like, but this person is calling me names; and I read this passage:

Acts 10:13-17 New King James Version 13 And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.” 14 But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” 15 And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has [ a] cleansed you must not call common.” 16 This was done three times.

Its three times for 3 people it seemed. These were wild beast it seemed God wanted me to eat. “He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds.”

Apparently, these where wild men God was asking me to kill and eat. I did not understand until the ordeal of my struggles was to stop. Apparently, the first guy pleaded on my behalf to stop the torment on me and prayed, (by the way he notices everything that I do, riding a bike, crying and even my baby picture but was wild as the other 3). Apparently, these guys were wild as Nebuchadnezzar, and I was to choose and kill them to eat. I did not understand until yesterday, when I read 1 Chronicles 28, that it was not literally to kill them as the term implied it was to choose who would die to self and create a perfect temple. I only just understood what God meant that David had shed innocent blood and could build a temple, but his son had to. So, these 3 guys it would seem had the same outlook as Solomon. I was only to choose one to die to self. And I remembered when the scripture told me: I should choose the 1st guy, who knows if you can change the unbelieving man. The idea from God was that he needed me to choose one to convert and all this while I did not understand; I taught they were trying to play games with me but what God wanted me to do was to choose one to convert. A thing I only just realized because I started realizing since I choose without knowing, the scripture was saying if you must eat, eat in faith but if you don’t eat in faith; it is sin.

I had opened David’s plan for the temple more than 10 times and this morning made it 11, I did not realize that I was to prepare one of Gods son to build a temple not made by hands. God apparently chose Solomon to be his son:

He said to me: ‘Solomon your son is the one who will build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. 1 Chronicles 28 vs 6.

Solomon is a type of man with many women and these men all fit this description and God wanted me to choose one to give a plan to build a temple with. The irony is about 8 months ago, when all this drama was going on I read a scripture asking me not to marry outside my race and that when Iss, a friend of mine showed up in my life, and I asked him why he had romans 8 on his WhatsApp, he said he prayed. Now, he was more open saying he struggled with same symptoms of the other 3 guys, as well and had a girlfriend with a history going around. So, all 4 where unclean but God was telling me to kill and eat. I have no idea; if I even choose any but he keeps asking me to give a plan, resource to build a temple; a thing I do not know how I can do this. Quite frankly, I’d rather not help any man or give them any plan because Men can be very wicked and making them too wise is not good. AS their carnal nature dominates and sin flows through… seeing ISS reminded me why men are dangerous and even God called them wild beast. Who would trust a beast! Numbers 27:1-11, Joshua 17:3-6

I am reluctantly helping the second one, but for the idea, he can’t see God and a person who cannot see God how he can build a temple for God? so I can only say as David says be strong and do the work; do not be discouraged nor afraid. And I wonder why through this second persons healing process; I was being affected by it; a thing that doesn’t concern me, so I decided to pray for him, and I have been, since if it affects him, it affects me, so I say Solomon be strong and do the work of God. He has chosen you to do the work of God. 1 Chronicles 28: 20. Women have the capacity to render aid, to succor, to give strength – Mon ami this is what strength looks like buried in weakness and raised in strength.

Takeaway

It bothers me that crazy and messed up men can pray to God and he answers them.

Also, one doesn’t have to be holy to get favor.

If it was just easy to give strength to build temple, to succor and render aid because can’t they just get strength for themselves.

I am glad this is over for whatever reason; I am to give a plan for a temple id try my best but not at cost to my well-being or peace. I guess Jacob wrestled with God and prevailed! SELAH!

Apparently, I am to give some details, plan, vessel and resource for someone to build a temple of which I am not humans are greedy but then isn’t everyone.

I guess it’s the one that perseveres to the end that wins! so God wins.

The Pool of Sent – John 9, Acts 9:8-19

The pool of Siloam (sent) is the place Jesus sent the blind man to wash his eyes at. It occurred to me that the pool of Siloam is the place where we are first SENT to evangelize. The man born blind from birth as we all are blind to God from birth, was accused that his parents sinned, and this is why he had sinned, but Jesus clearly said his parents had cannot sinned, but it was for the glory of God to be revealed.

Like us, in Adam all sinned and in Christ all are made alive, it is for the glory of God to be revealed to us. When we are born, we do not see God because of Adams sin and it’s not due to our parent’s sin like science propounds but the sins of Adam. So, Jesus sends the man to the pool of Siloam and in faith he goes.

When we finally begin to see, and people realize this they question if we are the same blind sinner who beg for mercy from the lord. In order, to investigate the healing the pharisees begin to question the formerly blind man, and he explains Jesus is a prophet. But because he broke the law by healing on the sabbath day, they deemed him unfit to be “messiah” and called him a sinner.

When we can see Jesus and get to know his voice, people will still question our motive as it happened with Paul. Though there was a great divide over Jesus, some believed him a sinner and others believed that no one could do this great miracle, if the father did not hear him.

The blind man evangelizes
The blind man was asked twice how he could see and that he was to tell the truth! he proclaims that ‘I was once blind and now I see”.

Then they hurled insults at him and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses! 29 We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.”

In a way, we are all blind when we are born, even blind about situations and circumstances that happens to and around us, so we need Jesus to open our eyes. This blind man, eyes was open so he could preach Jesus that he was once blind but now he could see and because of this, they hurled insult at him, saying he was Jesus disciples.

Since we are blind from birth, blind to our sins and the nature of sin within us, this is not as a result of our parents’ sins but Adams. Jesus opens our eyes to preach the gospel. Acts 9:8-19. John 9: 32.

Because the man proclaimed the truth of Jesus which the pharisees could not see; the said he was steeped in sin at birth forgetting we all are steeped in sin at birth, and this is it for me; some of us can see our sins and this makes us sorrowful, so we see the need for mercy and cry for mercy; while others can’t, and it multiplies. If we say we have no sin, we lie, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8-9. Because the once blind man replied to the religious leaders, they yelled at him saying, “how dare you reply to us & lecture us and threw him out.

When we evangelize as the blind man who was blind and can now see; we will face a similar opposition, we need the hand of God to open their blind eyes as well as theirs. The bible says in verse 38, that the once blind man still worshipped Jesus, because he believed in Jesus. Jesus thus said this is our judgement:

John 9 vs 39
39 Jesus said, [a] “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.”

So, he believed Jesus is the son of man, who was speaking to him (verse 37), he believed Jesus was sent from heaven (John 9: 33). Therefore, he was blind and now he sees what about us! We are all SENT to evangelize, once we can see at, the pool of Siloam!

Songs

Then they hurled insults at him and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses! 29 We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.”
39 Jesus said, [a] “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.”

A good or positive Prophecy – 1 Kings 22, Deuteronomy 13

Since there was no war between Aram and Israel. But in the third year; King Jehoshaphat, King of Judah went down to see the king of Israel. So, the king of Israel, Ahab goes to seek for assistance from King Jehoshaphat to take Ramoth Gilead, a part of Samaria which belonged to Israel at the time.

so, he asks will you go with me; King Jehoshaphat responds as Ruth “I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.” But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, “First seek the counsel of the Lord.”

Ruth says, “Your people will be my people and your God my God”. Ruth 1: 16 – 17

A reverence for God “Your God will be my God” and “First seek the counsel of the Lord” and then for others and oneself, “I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses – I Kings 22 vs 4″ and “your people will be my people – Ruth 1: 16 – 17″.

A fulfillment of the 1st and 2nd commandment, (I) To love the lord is to reverence him, with all your heart, mind and soul. (II) Love your Neighbour as yourself.

Since Jehoshaphat asked the king of Israel to get counsel from the lord. Hence, the King of Israel brought prophets of about 400 men; and they told the king of Israel “Go” for the Lord will give Ramoth Gilead into the king of Israel’s hand.

Me **thinking

Sometimes, I wonder, the bible says in a multitude of counsel, there is safety. Proverbs 11:14, Proverbs 15: 22. But 400 people gave the wrong counsel. **

Yet Jehoshaphat a wise king was not convinced and asked ‘Is there no longer a prophet of the Lord’ here whom we can enquire off.

The king of Israel then says there is a prophet left whom they can enquire of the LORD, but he hates him, because he never prophecies anything good about him. King Ahab says he is Micaiah son of Imlah.

Comments********************************

Positive speech indeed, King Ahab, like many men today in my country, are more concerned that the prophecy from the Lord is good than whether it is TRUE; he wanted someone who would affirm him. The bible says whatsoever things are TRUE (not good or positive), PURE, HONEST, LOVELY are the things we should think on. Philippians 4:8. **************************

At that point, King Ahab was not considering whether Micaiah’s prophecy in the past had been true or not. He wanted a good or positive prophecy.

So dressed in his royal robes with king Jehoshaphat, sitting by the entrance gate, he calls for a prophet who would affirm his decision to attack Ramoth Gilead. And Zedekiah gives a prophecy saying, “with these you will gore the Arameans until they are destroyed”.

As Micaiah approaches the King of Israel, he was told by the messenger, that the other prophets without exception are predicting success for the king that his words should line up with theirs and speak favorably. But Micaiah says as surely as the Lord tells me, I can tell only what the Lord tells me.

(Sometimes, the only words we have are the word of the lord he gives us – Micaiah understood this).

Micaiah was then asked to prophecy, and he said “I saw Israel scattered on the people who have no master. Let each one go home in peace.” In verse 16, we see the king demand for the truth (i.e. what is TRUE + th) in the name of the Lord. But when Micaiah told him what was true, Ahab told Jehoshaphat, that Micaiah’s prophecies were never anything good. In our day, we call it positive speech, but bad speech we call negative.

Micaiah in verse 19 says he hears the word of Elohim; I saw the LORD sitting on his throne with ALL the multitudes of heaven standing around him on the right and left and the lord said who enticed Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there? One of the multitudes in heaven suggested this and another that. Finally, the spirit (we do not know if the spirit is from the lord or not), came forward and stood before the LORD and said, “I will entice him”.

By what means, the Lord asked, and the spirit said, ‘I will go out and send deceiving spirit in the mouth of all his prophets” he said, and the permitted it ‘Go and do it”. Micaiah further states the Lord decreed disaster for you. Zedekiah, one of prophets who prophesied falsely slapped Micaiah in his face. And Micaiah was put in prison and given nothing but bread and water like Jeremiah. (See Jeremiah 20: 1 – 6).

Micaiah said to the king “if you return safety the LORD has not spoken through me, mark my words”. Indeed, Ahab (King) was killed in Ramoth Gilead, even disguised as King Jehoshaphat. He died by a bow, hitting him between the two sections of his Armour.

Findings

In the last days, the lord said deception will increase; that causes people to err from the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:11

“If you can use anything, LORD, you can use ME!” JESUS! If you can speak through a DONKEY, you can USE ME! GLORY TO GOD! – @scottcervantes4876. God speaks through diverse ways.

We can’t even define what is good. (Since no one is good but God). how can we who are inadept define what is good or positive, only God can do this because only God is good. Luke 18: 19.

Deuteronomy 13 says if prophet tells you a sign/wonder and it happens but says let’s follow other gods and worship them do not listen to them. It’s a test from God, Purge the evil from among you.

1 Timothy 4:1(KJV) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. The last days is likened to Jezebels time when Ahab was king.

The Lord allowed the deceiving spirit to confuse Ahab with the 400 prophets speaks really of the end of times. It shocks me that the Lord will allow the Devil to test Job and allow spirit to deceive the prophets and king Ahab whose reign with Jezebel is likened to the last days.

Do not Go Back – John 6: 60 -71 (Excerpt Kumuyi)

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 1 John 6: 68

One night in the early 1790s after another defeat in his 10-year England, William Wilberforce became discouraged. Tired and frustrated, he opened his Bible and began to leaf through it. A small piece of paper fell out and fluttered to the floor. It was a letter from John Wesley shortly before his death. Wilberforce read it again: “Unless the divine power has raised you up…. I see not how you can go through your glorious enterprise in opposing that (abominable practice of slavery), which is the scandal of religion, of England, and of human nature, Unless God has raised you up for this very thing, you will be worn out….”

As Jesus revealed more of the requirements for eternal life, many of his disciples left and walked no more with him. Instead of persuading those who left to come back, He turned to the twelve and asked, “Will ye also go away?” Peter responded on their behalf that they were resolved to keep following him because he is the Christ, the son of the living God who has the words of eternal life.

Following Christ becomes more challenging when persecution comes, and discouragement sets in. It was easier with the multitudes when Christ multiplied bread and fish to feed them. They were glad too with the healings and miracles. Soon, the journey towards the cross began, the pressure mounted, and the multitudes melted away. Only a few, genuine and determined disciples remained with him. After the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ, only 120 believers made it to the prayer retreat in the upper room.

The cross represents the crossroads where our resolve to follow Christ is challenged with alternative options before us. It is the clearinghouse where counterfeit believers are detected and the means of confirmation of the genuineness of our faith. Now where do you stand? Will you bear your cross and follow the Lord; or will you turn and go back?

The true test of faith is the cross.
