The Behind-the-Scenes Soldiers – John 3: 22 -30, Romans 16: 1 – 9

This writing was taken from Dr Chris Kwakpovwe Daily Manna.

He starts with the human body has several parts and certain parts of the body we do not see but are crucial to the overall performance of the body. In the same vein, in businesses there are certain people behind the CEO, or in Christian ministry, there are certain people around the sent-man/woman, who he calls – BEHInD THE SCEnE WORK FORCE. This people are the brains behind successful hitch free and powerful jobs/services, and they are as important as the CEO or pastor etc. Don’t join those who are fighting to be seen.
He says one should not struggle and fight to be seen, that leads to office politics and church politics.

He encourages diligence and says envy no one. He goes on to say: it should be more of God and less of us. Our labor is for the lord who sees in secret may be unseen and uncelebrated but is essential. He says he was a believer who worked in the church 48 years ago and worked not to be seen and he prayed never to be popular. But this foundation was it that made him what he is today by God’s grace. He says working to be seen leads to SHAME and DISGRACE.

The very nature of God – Jonah 4: 2, Nehemiah9: 17, אֱלהִים.

He prayed to the LORD, “Isn’t this what I said, LORD, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a 1) gracious and 2) compassionate God, 3) slow to anger and 4) abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. – Jonah 4: 2

David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let me fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is very great; but do not let me fall into human hands.” – 1 Chronicles 21:13.

Psalm 103:8-18 The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever. he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.

Nehemiah 9:17

They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and, in their rebellion, appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore, you did not desert them.

It seems we know God nature all too well, that God will have mercy while we continue to sin after all his grace covers us. David said it, Nehemiah said it, Jonah said it and we the church know it. we find also that love corrects because if we are in him, we can’t abide in wicked-ness (practice of the wicked) (The LORD is just! He is my rock! There is no evil in him! Psalm 92: 15), If a man says, I love God, and hated his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 1 John 4: 20.

so, if he is gracious, we ought to be, if he is compassionate, we ought to be, if he is slow to anger (not vexation) we ought to be. Afterall, as he is so we are on this earth right. But it is also interesting to see when Elohim wants to exact judgement (not wickedness) on his people, he seldom cannot do it because of his nature; so, he gives his people over to the hands of their enemies, in the Elis (with Gods chosen nation – Israel) time Daegon and the ammonites, Saul (with Israel) the philistines, King Ahaz (with Israel) give to the hands of the Assyrians, Jeremiah (with Israel) given to the Babylonians. And the last days he will his people (the chosen people -not nation- who have rebelled against him to reprobate minds) Romans 1:22-32.

we have a deliverer who delivered us from our sins (from ourselves) and delivered us from our enemy. As Nehemiah 9: 27 “Therefore thou delivered them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heard them from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gave them saviors, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies. ” Notice the Lord gave them over to their enemies first because of their sin when they called to him, he delivered them because he is merciful. The got delivered because they cried out asking God to forgive them, and then God delivered them from their enemies.

David was the only exception to this rule because when he did the census count and was given three option “he understood the very nature of Elohim” which is why he said let me fall under the hand of God, for he is merciful. (With the exception of Basheba’s son death, because David killed Uriah – ad this was among the six sins God hates and has said he will surely recompense Proverbs 6:16-19).

Nehemiah 9 clearly shows a God who is unrelenting towards his love for us, they worshipped idol, he forgives, and his love abounds so we could turn back to him. And I guess it is because God loves endures, he sent his son to die for us, hoping that we would see that despite our unfaithfulness to him, he still loves this is why he forgives us. so, we can turn back to him. 2 Timothy 2:13. This is primarily why we think we can live in sin and grace will abound because his mercy endures forever and that is love we are abusing.

Excerpts from Nehemiah 9

This is why God allows us to go through trials and testing of our faith, until we see how it feels to be rejected and scorned by men whether for righteousness’s sake (Elohim glory) | or unrighteousness’s sake (for our personal gain), we have a glimmer into how Jesus felt. Dr. Myles once said knowing something is wrong doesn’t change a person; many people know murder and stealing is bad and still do it, many Doctors know smoking is bad and still smoke; the knowing of the law doesn’t change man it is the love of Elohim that changes us. The only time we understand stealing is bad is when it is done to us. Hence, the 2nd commandment, when Jesus was crucified, we cannot fully comprehend how he felt, he was rejected by men and his father turned his back on him. The only time we begin to fully understand the sacrifice Jesus made is when we go through it, when we are under trial it seems Elohim is not near, and he has forsaken us that’s how Jesus felt “he said Eloi Eloi Lama Sabachthani” he was forsaken before we were; he was mocked before we were; yet he endured for you and me. He endured the cross despising the shame and now is sat down at the right hand of the throne of Elohim – Hebrew 12:2. You will also carry your cross to sit near to him – Luke 9:23.

Only when Jesus came out of the wilderness and a time of testing could he hear the spirit minister to him. While he was in the wilderness being tempted by the devil, he was answer through Elohim words. there was no comfort for him until he resisted the devil and submit to the father, then the holyspirit came to minister to him. Similarly, when we go through testing/trial as there may temporally discomfort, when we don’t eat (either out of lack/ or no), when there is no sign of God riches – wilderness season, we know he is still there because he is the word in us. This testing in the wilderness prepared Yeshua for his persecution which led to his crucifixion. similarly, when we go through trial it’s to prepare us for hard days.

The True Church Restoration – Amos 9 vs 7 – 10

This is a popular verse for reading today: Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. 2 Peter 3:3.

Scoffers -> according to Jude, are people who follow their ungodly desires, who divide the church, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the spirit of Elohim.

Solution:
Build up yourself in the most holy faith and praying in the holy spirit, keep oneself in Elohim’s love as you wait for mercy of Yeshua hashem to bring you to eternal life. Jude 1 vs 17 – 20. Call to perseverance.

The last days is likened to Sodom and Gomorrah, Luke 17:28-37; where even surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. Jude 1 vs 3

Remember all of Israel was chosen by Elohim to be delivered from Egypt but later he destroyed those who did not believe in him. (had unbelieving hearts) similar to the church of Elohim. Jude 1: 5

It goes on to say there are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our lord into a License FOR IMMORALITY.

solution: contend for the faith that was once entrusted to Elohim’s holy people.

The bible tells us there are three kinds of people unbelievers, ungodly and believing.

There are ungodly people characterized by judge to be:

1) people who pollute their own bodies, reject authority of Elohim, and heap abuse on celestial beings. (Archangel Micheal saith ‘the lord rebuke you’)

2) they slander whatever they do understand, and the very things they do not understand by instincts – as irrational animals do – will destroy them.

3)they took the way of Cain; they will kill their brothers in the lord (the lust of their father Satan – they will do), and they rush for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.

4) they are shepherds who feed only themselves – they are blemishes at our love feast, eating without qualms.

5) Enoch (the 7th from Adam); prophesied about them: ‘see, Elohim is coming with a 1000s upon 1000s of his holy one to judge everyone, and convict of all ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness have spoken against him.

6) they are grumblers and fault finders (causing offences -> as with Moses and the people grumbling about returning to Egypt for food, causing Moses and Aaron to be overcome with faults and then sinned against Elohim), they follow evil desires, they boast about themselves (2 Timothy 3:2-4, this is how they will lead the congregations to be lovers of themselves ad boastful) and flatter for their own advantage.

Scriptures worth remembering to this end:

Philippians 3 vs 18: talks about the enemies of the cross of Christ as well, their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach (why they grumbled in the wilderness? why Esau sold his birthright/inheritance?) and their glory is in shame, their minds set on earthly things.

Idolaters are impure persons (impure + greedy persons) philipians 4:12, 13, Eph 5:5.

I Corinthians 12 vs 24 all functioning body of Christ whether big, small, medium as the hand the same size with the ears is not but they all work together. therefore, our presentable parts need no special treatment. God puts the whole body together. The body of Christ the church whether big, small or medium matters not it’s the function that matters.

God placed the church 1st -> apostles; 2nd -> prophets, 3rd teaches of miracles, then gift of healing of helping of guidance and of different kinds of tongues.

Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless, afterward it yielded the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

Revelation 3 vs 19 Those whom I love I rebuke & discipline so be earnest and repent. He chastises those he loves. Do not resist the discipline or correction of Adonai, whoever has ears, let the hear what the father of spirit is saying to the churches.

Except thy presence goes with me – Exodus 33

Epilogue
From when the lord stroked his people with a plague because of what they did with the calf Aaron made. Elohim saith to Moses, that he should leave the place, Moses and the people they bought up out of Egypt and to go to a land he promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, which he’d give to their descendants. The lord saith he will send his angels to drive out the Hittites, Canaanites, Ammonites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites before them.

Comments
Here we see that the promise made through generations was about to be fulfilled (i.e. the promise made to Isaac, Abraham, and Jacob moved through their generation and was to be fulfilled in Moses’ time).
It’s funny because Moses translates to meaning drawn out of water as his similitude to the work done by John the Baptist, who drew people out of the water. As John the Baptist prepared the way for the saviors coming; so, Moses showed the children the way to the promise land. (or at least prepared the way for them to reach the promise land).

Storyline
Here because the people are stiff necked, the LORD did not want to go with them for the reason that he might destroy them on the way. So, Moses went to the ‘tent of meeting’ to speak to Elohim face to face as one speaks to a friend (verse 11). Moses says to the LORD Elohim, you have been telling me, ‘Lead these people, “but you have not let me know who you will send with me.

If you are pleased with me teach me your ways, so I may know and continue to find favor with thee. Remember we are your people. Moses goes on to say that if Elohim’s presence does not go with us, he will go from there. (As we cross over to 2024, it is my prayer that Elohim’s presence goes with us (Immanuel) from the wilderness to a land flowing with milk and honey). Elohim presence distinguishes us according to Moses, his presence shows he is pleased with us. no wonder the Psalmist saith from whence can I go from thy presence.

Then Elohim saith: This very thing I will do because you have asked because I am pleased with you, and I know you by name.

Prayer: Let Elohim’s presence go with us and give us rest as we step into 2024, into his presence.

Comment
It is funny Moses would not leave the tent of meeting with me. It is Elohim’s presence Moses sought for the most rather than a land flowing with milk and honey. As Moses calls Elohim in remembrance for his favor and love for him and towards his people. (verse 13)
The Rhetoric of this is John the Baptist fed on locust and wild honey and the land of milk and honey was where the Israelites were off to. It was when John the Baptist was baptizing that Yeshua (the lord appeared), his presence was made known to others thus the fathers voice was heard “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased”. Jesus a Jew was accepted so we would be accepted, and Elohim would be pleased with us, similarly Elohim was pleased with Moses, so his presence could go with the Israelites. Since the actualization of the promise made to Abraham was manifest in Moses and Aarons time, the manifestation of salvation (Elohim’s promise) was made possible through Yeshua. Indeed, he is the one who us out of the bowels of water and washed us clean.

Happy new Year in Advance

Wise Sayings – Books of Wisdom

The bible says each hearts knows its own bitterness Proverbs 14:10. Each heart knows its own bitterness doesn’t say our hearts should be filled with bitterness or filled with evil. (Reference Ecclesiastes 9 vs 3).

Ecclesiastes 9:4-10 Anyone who is among the living has hope —even a live dog is better off than a dead lion! and yet hope deferred makes the heart sick. our hope is in the name of the Lord. (We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield, Psalm 33:20-22).

1 Peter 1:3 Praise to God for a Living Hope

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Therefore, our living in hope is to live in Christ. Hence for me to live is Christ and for me to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21). To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1: 27).

In my wisdom I have foolishness and even in my foolishness; I still have Yeshua. Psalm 10:1 A little folly outweighs wisdom and honor. For as in Philippians 3 vs 1 I have no confidence in flesh, this is futility and vanity. we were all born foolish/ignorant, but one must work hard to remain foolish after all (Benjamin Franklin).

Luke 24:25-27 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken.

As Paul would say in 2 Corinthians 12:11, I have made a fool of myself, but you drove me to do it. I ought to have commended by you, for I am not in the least inferior to the “super-apostles,” even though I am nothing.

The world and its desires pass away, teach us to do your will. 1 John 2: 17. 1 John 2:17 is a verse from the Bible that says, “This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever.”

Why he came – Ecclesiastes 8, 9; Philippians 3 vs 8

Ecclesiastes 8: 14 begins with he (King Solomon) sees the righteous getting what the wicked deserves and the wicked getting what the righteous deserves. Aptly put we don’t always get what we deserve. (as with the case of Job) as it is with Yeshua who knew no sin but became sin for us; he got a punishment, he did not deserve because of you and me.
He paid a debt he did not owe, he got what we sinners deserve, a righteous savior took on our sins, so he would redeem us.
The good news is he rose again the third day: so, Elohim justifies Yeshua for his suffering, shame and death.

Jeremiah 17:10
New International Version
“I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their DEEDS deserve.”

◄ Psalm 62:12 ►
New International Version
and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and “You reward everyone according to what they have DOnE.”

Matthew 16:27
For the Son of Man will come in His Father’s glory with His angels, and then He will repay each one according to what he has DOnE.
He who plants and he who waters are one in purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.

2 Timothy 4:14
Alexander the coppersmith did great harm to me. The Lord will repay him according to his DEEDS.

Revelation 2:23
Then I will strike her children dead, and all the churches will know that I am the One who searches minds and hearts, and I will repay each of you according to your DEEDS.

1 Samuel 26:23
May the LORD repay every man for his righteousness and faithfulness. For the LORD delivered you into my hand today, but I would not stretch out my hand against the LORD’s anointed.

Job 34:11
For according to a man’s DEEDs, He repays him; according to a man’s ways He brings consequences.

This Elohim justifying us according to our deeds. Man to Man we may not get what we deserve, as Solomon is a King like Yeshua who observes this things and notices this, but Elohim justifies us still. He sent his son to reconcile us back him. This is why Elohim came, this is why Elohim was born. He came to justify us, suffered what he didn’t deserve as we all would (Philippians 3 vs 8).

We don’t always get what we deserve as Christ didn’t deserve to die yet the father justified Christ by raising him up on the 3rd day so that in him, we would be justified.

Christmas as a Mast to Celebrate Yeshua.

The Right Hand of Elohim – Psalm 79, 80; Joshua 20, Luke 23.

Word Reading:

Psalm 80: 17 Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand,
the son of man you have raised up for yourself.

Psalm 110:1 “The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”

Hebrew 12: 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We have a high priest at the right of Elohim’s throne taking our shame, finisher of our faith, took on the judgement we deserve that he may rise on the 3rd day. \

Psalm 79, 80 summaries

The word of the hashem came to me and thus saith the children of Israel were going through a rough time, in these two chapters the anger of hashem was on his people because the holy temple wasn’t not clean. (similarly, to Joshua 20). So, David asks the people to confess their iniquities, and that the lord preserve them from death. They had been mocked and derided by people that surrounded them. They were taunted, but as David the sheep of your pasture will give thanks to Elohim forever. He prayed sevenfold be returned on their head for they taunted you, O lord. [Psalm 79 vs 12]. David made a prayerful intercession that they had been brought very low. The lord should restore them, O Elohim; let your face shine us, who restoreth our soul? who restored all job had lost? Who raised Yeshua from the dead and restored him to his rightful place, at the right hand of the throne of Elohim? Yeshua was raised from the dead so he could reconcile us and restore us back to Elohim, and his face will shine on us.

Joshua 20 summary

Adonai said to Joshua (a type of savior):

That there should be cities of refuge such that a manslayer who strikes any person without intent or unknowingly may flee there, (our sins). So, there will be a refuge from the avenger of blood (death). The manslayer will move to the cities of refuge (as there were no churches) until he could explain his case to the elders of that city. In verse 5 even if the avenger of blood pursues him the elders are not give up the manslayer into his hand, because he struck his Neighbour unknowingly, and did not hate him in the past. In verse 6, he is to remain in that city of refuge until he stands before the congregation for judgement until the death of him who is high priest at the time (Yeshua), then the manslayer may return to his own town and his own home, to the town from which he fled. Verse 9 concludes with the people of Israel and for the stranger sojourning among them (gentiles), that anyone who killed a person without intent could flee there, so that he might not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation.

The story depicts the savior making intercession for our sins (the manslaughter), he is our refuge and keeps us from the avenger of blood (death which the devil gave to us) who seeks judgement for sin we do, when we don’t know better.

Luke 23

Rings more than the same pattern, we see Herod enthusiastic to see Jesus however upon seeing Yeshua, Yeshua did not answer him. so, Herod begins to treat Yeshua with contempt and mockery basically derided him. Previously, Jesus was with Pilate and Pilate questioned him and said I find no fault in this man, when he saw that Yeshua was not from his jurisdiction, he transferred him to Herod. Herod and Pilate became friends on the day of Yeshua’s (our refuge) judgement and death before that day they had been enemies. therefore, Pilate and Herod said that they found no fault in the man deserving of death (reference Psalm 79, Joshua 20 and the manslaughter not deserving of death) verse 15, so they opted to punish and released Barabas. A man convicted for insurrection stated in the city for murder (manslaughter Joshua 20). Proverbs 17:15 “Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent– the LORD detests them both.” 1 Corinthians 13:6-7, Love does not rejoice with evil but delight in the truth.

Even still Pilate desired to release Yeshua in verse 20; but they kept shouting “Crucify him! Crucify him!) the third time Pilate said what evil hath he done; I find no guilt in him deserving death. Joshua 20 shows the sin of a man not desiring mercy for a sin he didn’t commit intentionally; however, Yeshua knew no sin. So, they released Barabbas, and delivered Yeshua over to the will of the people. In verse 28, the women and daughter wept for Yeshua, and Yeshua responded to them and saith “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children, verse 29 it says for behold the days are coming when they will say “blessed be the baren women womb that had never bore and the breast that never nursed”. same word as the sermon at the mount.

Matthew 24:19

“How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.”

In Luke 23 vs 35, the soldiers mocked him saying he saved others let him save himself, if you are the King of the Jews. [verse 38 -39] one of the criminals said, do you not fear Elohim, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation.

So, they killed the holy one of Israel. John 19: 10-11

10 Then Pilate said to Him, “Are You not speaking to me? Do You not know that I have [a]power to crucify You, and power to release You?”

11 Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore, the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin.”

Take-away:

Even when we have the same sentence for condemnation, some people will still have no fear of Elohim.

As with Jesus as Job they destroyed his body but could not kill him (death). Matthew 10: 28 “And fear not them which kill the body but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” My heart and my flesh may fail but Elohim is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73: 26.

Yeshua is our refuge when we fall short in Joshua 20.

The cross shows us the love of Elohim and our hearts towards him, he became a refuge to us and we condemn him to death, but he still restored us back to the father.

The waiting Church, the bride of Christ – Song of Solomon 1, John 3:25-30, Matthew 25:1-13.

Songs of Solomon calls out a church who confesses her love Yeshua in this case, Songs of Solomon 1: 3 “So your anointing oils are fragrant; your name is oil poured out; therefore, virgins love you.”
It’s in the church we declare our salvation and love for Yeshua by confessing him as hashem our savior. It is the church where we wait for Christ return. The Parable of the five foolish and five wise virgin brides who awaits the bride return.

Matthew 25 vs 1 saith
“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep”.

Both Songs of Solomon 1 and Matthew 25 speaks of a virgin bride who are to have oil and await the bridegroom. no wonder, the scripture saith seek the lord while he may be found Isaiah 55:6-7. The second bride called rose of Sharon begins to say in Songs of Solomon 2 vs 8 “The voice of my beloved!
    Behold, he comes,
leaping over the mountains,
    bounding over the hills.”

Rose of Sharon hears the voice of the bride, A delighted bride with oil in chapter 1. Matthew 25: 6-9

At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

“Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

“‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

Songs of Solomon 3 reveals how the Son of Man will return, in verse 6 as the groom arrives for his wedding perfumed with myrrh and frankincense and verse 10 show his carriage he rides on as Gold (the gift given to Yeshua when he was born by the 3 wise men from the east.) “Go out, O daughter of Zion, and look upon King Solomon.”

Songs of Solomon 8: 14 make haste, my beloved and be like a gazelle or a young stag on mountains of spices. Yes, we wait for Yeshua, Matthew 25: 13 saith:

But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you; I don’t know you.’

13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

As I close with Ephesians 5: 26 – 28:

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Takeaway

As we await Yeshua’s return, we ought to remember that he is coming for a virgin (new creation church, reborn in him – cleansed, holy and anointed) with oil in our lamps (anointed) who delights in him (the alabaster box – she washed his feet with her hair, perfumed oil and tears – a picture of worship).

Solomon as a King built temples (house of Elohim) made with hands, whereas Yeshua built temples not made with hands. Solomons church i.e. his bride was different, so the bride of Christ is diverse from every tribe, nation and tongues. And so, the son of man came to save the lost.

You are loved by the kings of kings. Jesus loves you.

Hope for Yisreal – Acts 10 vs 28, 34: Acts 28: 4

it is Yahweh that judges all things because he makes the sunshine on the just and the unjust (Matthew 5: 45), also Yeshua makes no error and there is no favoritism with him, therefore he justifies us, and accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. (Acts 10: 34). So, we can’t trust in our own understanding of what we think is just but what Yahweh says is just. Proverbs 3 says trust in the Yahweh, with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in ALL YOUR WAYS (ways of doing things, thinking) acknowledge Yahweh and he will direct my path.

Similarly, when Paul was on the Island of Malta, the men by the beach saw a snake hanging on his head and said one to another that he was a murderer (of course in the past Paul murdered, before he became reformed), Acts 28:4.

they also expected Paul to die by the snake’s attack, but he shook it off, but he didn’t die. So, they change their mind(s) and saw he was a god (verse 6).

How fickle? whether it is the case of Jezebel (guilty of wickedness) or Cornelius (accepted from every nation and thus clean) or Paul (called a murderer). it is Yahweh who justifies both the living and the dead. Thus, he is the one who avenges where there is need to. it is so easy for us to change our mind, to judge by gentiles or jews what is clean or unholy but it Yeshua who justifies.

Yeshua judges the earth. Acts 10:41-42

Elohim decides who gets a sit at the right and the other at the left in your glory.” Mark. 10:37

2 Kings 9 – A time for reckoning.

Today, we begin with the story of Elisha summoning a man from amongst the prophets and told him to dress well, take a flask of oil with him to Ramoth Gilead. When he gets there, he is to look for Jehu, the son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi and pour the flask of oil on his head “to declare him king of Israel as it was said of Elohim”. He did this swiftly and asked Jehu to destroy the house of Ahab to avenge the blood of his servant and those shed by Jezebel.

When the young prophet sent by Elisha made a prophecy on how Ahab, Jezebel and the people of Israel would end up on Vengeance. His fellow officers laughed and called the young prophet a Maniac (verse 11). Jehu replied that the prophets saying was not TRUE. (ironic). But his comrade persisted he tells them. So, Jehu repeated what the young prophet said, and they (his comrades) quickly took their cloak and spread them under him on the base step, proclaimed ‘Jehu is King’ with a trumpet.

So, Jehu’s men went to Joram (the king of Israel), who was on guard at Ramoth Gilead against Hazael, King of Aram. So as, Joram return to recover from his wounds the Arameans inflicted on him (resting), Ahaziah king of Israel went down to see him; and thus, Jehu came afterward to Joram who asked him if he came in peace (twice), but Jehu responded twice saying “what do you have to do with peace? fall in behind me’. Thus, Joram took two reporting servants had reacted, but neither were coming back. Therefore, the 3rd look-out (reporting servant) suggested it was Jehu the son of Nimshi – who drives like a maniac was there.

Joram the king of Israel and Azariah King of Judah rode out on their chariots to meet Jehu at the plot ground which belonged to Naboth. There Joram saw Jehu and asked him again, if he came in peace. But Jehu replied ‘as long as all idolatry and witchcraft of your mother (Joram mother) abounds, how can there be peace.

As Joram called out to his friend ‘treachery’, he was shot between his shoulders and slumped to death on the field of Naboth the Jezreelite. Jehu then recounts the word of hashem with Bikar and the prophecy against Ahab and his son saying ‘Yesterday, I saw the blood of Naboth and the blood of his son(s), declares Elohim, and I will surely make you pay for it on this plot of ground. The word of Elohim was fulfilled that day.

Azariah, king of Judah saw what happened and wanted to flee but was shot too and died at Megiddo, where he was trying to escape. Jehu had asked the soldier that knew what had happened in Jezreel to not let the story slip.

nevertheless, when Jehu entered the gate of Jezebels house, she asked Jehu, have you come in peace, Zimri, you murder of your masters. But Jehu gathered the Eunuch to his side and asked that she be thrown down from the window, where she arranged her hair. They threw her down and her blood splattered on the wall, there horses trampled her underfoot. Jehu asked that since she was a king’s daughter she should be buried. but they found nothing but her skull, feet and her hands. The word of Elijah the Tish bite was fulfilled. Jezebel was marred by DOGS beyond the point of recognition were no one could say this is Jezebel.

Rapport

The word of Elohim was Elohim was first fulfilled on Naboth’s field then the word of Elijah was fulfilled. So, the word of the LORD was first fulfilled then the word of the prophet (Son of Man), Elijah (translated as Elohim is Yahshua).

As we talked about the fulness in Yeshua and Elohim being different (Ephesians 4: 12-14, Ephesians 3:19) we see more disparity here.

Wickedness will not release those that practice it. Ecclesiastes 8:8 (As no one is discharged in time of war, so wickedness will not release those who practice it). As the heart of man is desperately wicked, but the practice of wickedness is evil. Jezebel had killed prophets, killed Naboth and it seemed she was getting away with it until Jehu was anointed. (It’s funny Elihu is translated God is he and Jehu is translated Yah is he).

Pointers

Wickedness in practice is likened to witchcraft.

Prophecy from Elohim and the prophet were fulfilled.

Yeshua avenges Naboth, Deuteronomy 32:35 – It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them. Hebrews 10:30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 2 Peter 2:3.

Sometimes, the people who speak about peace most times, are not at peace. (Jezebel asked do you come in peace, Joram her son asked the same question, but Jehu replied as long as witchcraft and idolatry abound, there can’t be peace).

The time of Jezebel as a ruler with Ahab must have been really terrible, for young prophets as they called them Maniacs ‘2 Kings 9 vs 11′ and thus because they called the young prophets’ maniacs, Jehu was also called a maniac too (‘2 Kings 9 vs 20).

The judgement on Jezebels family was swift and done in a day.

Jezebel seems to have known that despite Jehu trying to hide his acts in Jezreel, he had murdered her son and thus called Jehu “the murderer of his masters”.

This is the first place I’ve seen DOGS in the bible. (It seems the dogs knew Jezebel was wicked).

Acts 10 vs 34, 36. It is the good news of peace that comes through Christ Yahshua (Jehu – translated Yah is peace) brought peace to Israel.

Elohim appointed Yeshua, the judge of the living and the dead, so all prophecy testifies of him. (disparity seen again). Acts 10: 41-42. When Yeshua judged Naboth’s death and justified him through (Jehu – Yah is he), prophecy was fulfilled – testifying of Yah.
